Second Breakfast is an independent publication launched in my post-Hack Education era. Looking for something to write about that wasn't ed-tech – namely grief, aging, health, and technology – I've since been dragged back into discussions of engineering minds and bodies, back into writing about technologies that purport to enhance thinking and knowing but that seem instead to unravel our understanding of the world, of each other, of ourselves.

If you subscribe today, you'll get access to the archives and from here on out, a newsletter every Friday in which I snarl at the week's ed-tech and AI news. Paid subscribers receive an additional email – a longer essay every Tuesday – as well as my deep deep gratitude.
